Clinical Hypnotherapy

Clinical hypnotherapy is a focused therapeutic technique that uses guided relaxation and suggestion to help you access your subconscious mind. It is a gentle yet powerful tool that allows us to explore the root causes of emotional and behavioural patterns that may not be fully accessible through talk therapy alone.

During a hypnotherapy session, you enter a relaxed but alert state, similar to the moments just before sleep. In this state, the mind is more open to new suggestions and deeper understanding. It is not about being asleep or unconscious. You are in control the entire time, and you will remember everything we discuss.

For trauma clients, hypnotherapy can provide access to parts of the mind where emotional memories and protective responses are stored. It can be especially effective when you find it hard to talk about what happened or when your body reacts in ways that do not match your current situation. Hypnotherapy allows us to communicate with those deeper layers of the mind, offering them reassurance, updated information, and healing.

Depending on your needs, a session may involve regression, which gently guides you back to earlier memories to uncover their emotional imprint. We then work together to shift the way those memories are held in your mind. This does not erase the memory but changes how it feels in the body and mind.

Hypnotherapy is also helpful for calming the nervous system, improving sleep, reducing anxiety, and reinforcing new beliefs. I may give you a tailored audio recording to listen to after our session to help reinforce the work we have done.

Clients often say they feel lighter, calmer, and more connected after sessions. It is a deeply relaxing and insightful process that supports long-term healing by helping you release what no longer serves you.
